I’ve been creating art in various forms for about 20 years, with most of my accumulated creative instincts being self-taught. In past years, I’ve taken occasional classes in different art mediums, but my need for dimension, texture, and depth wasn’t satisfied with routine instruction. So I continued on my own with acrylic paint as my main medium and began adding clay, glass, wire, paper, fibers, beads, sticks, or anything else I could find to my canvases. Currently when painting, I prefer water-based oil, but at times find myself coming back to charcoal or pencils. Now I’m finding myself moving on & enjoying wire bending..designing both sculptures and loads of jewelry. I found a whole new world of beads, gemstones and different gauges of wire, and clay is always close to my bench. Nothing is safe from my grasp – or imagination.
